Everyone once in his lifetime wanted to convert his favorite video music into mp3 for many reasons, like just to play it with his Ipod or any portable media player. But everyone goes to internet and search for "video to mp3" or "mp4 to mp3" and download any software that converts the file. Many people buy the converters. But they don't know there is a simple way to convert using a software on their pc. A software which can be found on many systems, or peoples just install it before they install any other software. It is "VLC media player" few people know about the full features that this open source software can do. In this post I am going to show you how to convert any video into mp3 using vlc media player.
First thing you will need is VLC media player and the video file you want to convert. Just open vlc media player and click on media from the tab on top right and click on open. Navigate to your video and click open to open the video. In my case I am using "How to.mp4".
Now you will see your video playing. Now again go to media and this time select "convert/save"
you will come accross a dialogue box which says open media. Just click add on the right side of the box to add the video you want to convert to vlc media player. In the dialogue box at the bottom right you will see "convert/save" click on the "convert/save" button.
After clicking on "conver/save" button it goes to the convert dialogue box. Here you can select the format on which you want to convert it. Here we want to convert it to mp3 so, select "Audio-mp3"from the drop down menu in front of profile.Now click on "browse" to select the path where you want to save your converted mp3 file. Navigate to the destination and then give the file name for the file you want to save and click on save. Then click on convert to start the conversion process.
Now you will see that vlc is streaming, but it is actually converting your file you can check the progress below at the seek bar. After the conversion the video will be saved to the destination path that you selected in the previous step.
